I work as a craftsman building open stairs for homes at a local company. I'm writing this story to you thinking that you might find it interesting. So please bear with me.

On Monday morning July 12, 2004, I was helping my boss pull a jammed piece of 8 foot long oak cove molding out of our molding cutting machine. Upon pulling, it released the pressure off of the front piece and it shoot out the back of the machine toward me hitting me in the arm. I knew it had punctured my arm so I applied pressure to it to stop the bleeding and called 911.

After a half-hour ride to the hospital, I spent another 4 hrs with 2 doctors finally convincing them that after a negative x-ray and a negative cat-scan, that there was still a piece of wood in my arm. They admitted me to surgery where they removed a piece of cove molding 3/4"square x 7" long out of my fore-arm.

I'm recovering nicely, but this is where the story gets interesting and the people of your company will appreciate it.

When the piece of wood dislodged from the machine, it shot straight at me at a considerable high rate of speed,hitting the back or upper side of my wrist. On that wrist, I was wearing my Casio G-shock watch. The watch took the brunt of the force on the side of it, but in turn that forced the wood to enter my arm, and proceed up my arm toward my elbow, Stopping about 2" from the elbow. I am convinced that if it had not struck the watch first, it would have entered my arm at a full rate of speed and probably would have went out thru the elbow causing serious damage.

I have owned G-shock watches of yours for years because I used to scuba dive and was the owner of a pet business which included fish, (fresh and salt-water), during the 80's- thru late 90's. My last G-shock quit working around Easter of this year so I went looking for a new watch even considering other brands. But after looking at others I decided on your G-shock. Needless to say I'm glad I did. Thru this whole incident which happened in the blink of an eye, the watch I am wearing NEVER lost 1 second or any of it's operations have malfunctioned. I'm convinced that I will never need to ever even think about another brand of watch in my life-time. This story has fascinated everyone.
