If someone reads this email, I would like to tell you about the Casio G-Shock watch that saved my husband's life. Literally. My husband, Thomas, is a security guard at the local hospital. One night he was doing his rounds, walking to different areas of the hospital. He is required to check the temperature of the boiler in the boiler room once an hour and record it on a clipboard. As he was writing in the boiler room, he heard a small "ping!", and all of a sudden, he was pushed backward and his arm was throbbing. A small bolt had worked its way out of the boiler, and because of the pressure, was sent flying through the air, straight at my husband. His arm had been at such an angle that his watch, a Casio G-Shock, was in front of his chest. The bolt hit the watch at an accelerated speed, splitting the watchface and the watch deflected the bolt sideways. When my husband came home, he showed me that watch and told me the story. The metal back was intact, just bent, and the face broken. If he had not had the watch on, and had it not been a G-Shock, the bolt would have flown into his chest or his neck, and it could have killed him. He showed me his wrist, and there was a large bruise, purple and black where the bolt hit. He was not upset about the bolt, however. It didn't even phase him, where I was near tears thinking of what could have happened. No, my husband was upset that the bolt broke his favorite watch. With Christmas coming, I am putting a new Casio G-Shock at the top of my list to buy him. It saved his life, and I would like to thank Casio for making a true quality product and let you know that you have customers for life. True story. | | |
