Stainless steel is known for its hardness and resin for its toughness. Taking advantage of both these characteristics enabled us to realize a design in which two completely different materials intertwine beautifully and unite with one another.
Forged modeling provides surface structure that makes the most of cutting work and polished finishing to realize a sharp-edged quality look.

Born from the breakthrough idea of a hollow structure...The case employs a hollow structure in which the module is "floated" to protect it from shocks. A full urethane bezel provides all-directional enclosure to prevent direct shocks from striking the glass and buttons. Cushioning material provides extra protection for key parts such as the crystal oscillator inside the module. These and other shock-resistant technologies, exclusive to G-SHOCK, are spread generously throughout the body and the module interior to raise toughness to the highest level. |

Design concept stressing protection from shockThis design concept stressing protection from shocks is basic to every G-SHOCK case design, and the same protective structure is employed not only for our urethane cases, but also for our metal and analog watch cases. |

A prominent bezel configurationA prominent bezel configuration was adopted to prevent the buttons and glass from contacting any surfaces, thus protecting them from shocks when falling at any angle. |

Special titanium alloy button shaft offer additional high level of shock resistance.
Titanium screw pins penetrate the band joints completely and are rust and corrosion resistant
Deep waved band releases stress from the tight fit that can occur with a wet wrist
