G-SHOCK X GLOBE
MOVIE PREMIER & COLLABORATION RELEASE PARTY
Coinciding with this year’s US Open of Surfing and the Agenda Tradeshow in Huntington Beach, California, G-Shock hosted the premier of Globe’s latest 16mm surf film, Year Zero (0000) and the two brands threw a party for the ages. Not only was the film premiered, but the soon-to-be-released G-Shock X Globe watch collaboration and boardsport capsule, consisting of a cruiser board and comanche boot were showcased along side clothing worn in the film.
With more than 1,600 invited guests in attendance, the venue was elbow room only and if you were lucky enough to attend, you were transported to a post-apocalyptic world reminiscent of a Mad Maxx or HG Wells novel, complete with abandoned & burned out cars and fire-breathing, dancing girls. DJ’s Mikey Beats and Gabe Vega laid down the tracks, taking the party late into the night and all left satisfied with full stomachs, ringing ears, and a serious itch to go surfing, providing their morning headaches weren’t too bad.
